Environment

Thanks to our strong interest in actively protecting the environment, we have implemented an Environmental Management System. Our goal is to constantly optimize our internal operations. In particular, we are implementing medical waste and other waste management programs, recycling programs for paper and used devices, as well as programs supporting green entrepreneurship and energy conservation.

Society

Supporting vulnerable social groups that need our help is a self-evident obligation of every company. Our range of actions towards this goal includes collaborating with agencies and institutions that protect deprived families, children, as well as people with disabilities. At the same time, we stand by social pharmacies, social groceries, and local authorities, whose actions touch the daily lives of social groups in need of protection and support.

Education

Our Group cultivates a culture of teamwork and high performance, with the purpose of developing a creative work environment. We want our employees to be able to fully develop their skills. Within this framework, we invest in the training of our personnel and ensure their lifelong learning by regularly organizing skill development seminars.

Sports

We support sports clubs when they organize activities that promote sportsmanship. Moreover, we consider supporting cultural events organized by associations of athletes who are also transplant and kidney patients to be our absolute responsibility, seeing as we thus have the opportunity to share their joint effort with society, turning it into a cultural event.

Supporting NGO actions

Every year, we support the work of associations, charities, and foundations that financially help people in need by sending greetings using cards by UNICEF, the “Doctors Without Borders” Association, the “Smile of the Child” Association, as well as the “Make a Wish” non-profit organization.

Provision of plastic caps to the Hellenic Paraplegic Association

In an effort to organize actions that contribute to improving the quality of life of people with severe motor disabilities, the “Mesogeios” Dialysis Centers Group collaborates with the Hellenic Paraplegic Association in order to help those citizens who cannot afford orthopedic aids, such as wheelchairs, consumables, etc. As a result, a significant number of plastic caps is collected each year, the exchange of which helps supply those people with wheelchairs and other orthopedic articles.

Organizing awareness events

One of our main initiatives is organizing events to provide information and raise public awareness on issues related to Chronic Kidney Disease.

Sponsorships

In the context of our social contributions, we allocate part of our revenue to support major sporting events, clubs, and associations, with the purpose of actively contributing to the promotion of sporting ideals. More specifically, we undertook the following:

• Financing the total cost for the participation of 2 of our dialysis patients in the 10th European Transplant and Dialysis Sports Championships, held in Cagliari, Italy.
• Partial funding to cover the expenses of 3 dialysis athletes at the 9th European Transplant and Dialysis Sports Championships, held in the town of Vantaa, a suburb of Helsinki.
• Financing the entire participation package for patients and employees of the company for the Authentic Athens Marathon.
• Supporting the “ASPE THETIS” volleyball club as a major sponsor, proudly financing the efforts of its teams in all women’s development championships and tournaments.
